Retromobile 2020: video highlights of the show!

It is THE meeting place for vintage car enthusiasts! The Salon Rétromobile will be held until February 9, 2020 at the Porte de Versailles in Paris. For this 45th edition, visitors have something to rinse their eyes! You don’t have the opportunity to come or are you just preparing your visit?

Auto Plus proposes to play the guides through several videos.

Old electrified vehicles in the spotlight!

Original, some stands welcome 100% electric or hybrid models! By the end of the 19th century, artisans were already imagining battery machines, as an alternative to an internal combustion or steam engine!

The FFVE stand exhibits 4 vehicles: a Krieger A155 (1908), a Bugatti Type 56 (1931), a Rosengart Supersix Coupé (1938) and a CGE Tudor (1942) . Don’t miss the VLV (city light vehicle) on the Peugeot stand and the Renault 4L e-Plein Air on the Melun Retro Passion stand. Finally, Porsche presents the Semper Vivus, the first series production hybrid vehicle in its history!

Finally, and because the trend tends to develop at high speed, we take stock of the Retrofit. This technique consists in converting a thermal model into 100% electric.

Flagship exhibitions

The 45th edition of Rétromobile offers several exhibitions. One is dedicated to the small Czechoslovakian manufacturer Tatra.

Two other retrospectives are offered in Hall 3:

– an exhibition of tractors coming with parts from 11 historic manufacturers: Renault, Citroën, Ford or Lamborghini , Porsche and even Aston Martin!

– an exhibition dedicated to the coachbuilder Bertone. 10 prototypes produced between 1969 and 2001 rub shoulders. Some are surprising, like the Volvo Tundra, whose pencil stroke is more like that of the Citroën BX! Total cost of the set presented here: around 2 million euros.

Also take advantage of the expo-sale with a whole bunch of cars for less than 25,000 €: Porsche, Corvette, Rolls-Royce are not inaccessible here!

These happy birthdays!

On the Retromobile show, there are of course the exceptional cars, all more expensive than each other, to be discovered on the stands of merchants … And the most popular models exhibited on the stands of manufacturers: the 404 at Peugeot, the GS / SM at Citroën, the Fuego at Renault or even the Panda at Fiat. Skoda is also on the occasion of its 120th anniversary and Alfa Romeo is exhibiting its very first vehicle on the occasion of its 110 springs!
